Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the C2FM website, member portal, or attending C2FM events (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Climate Co-Founder Matching LLC (“C2FM,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use C2FM. Membership is focused on founders in the New York City and tri-state area. We may approve or decline membership applications at our discretion.
3. Accounts
Members are responsible for maintaining the security of their account and ensuring their profile information is accurate and up to date. Each person may hold only one account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Membership and Billing
Standard membership is $10 per month (USD), billed monthly through our payment processor (Stripe, via Clerk).
From time to time, C2FM may offer promotional free trials at its discretion. When a trial applies, billing begins at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period — you will retain access through that date. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
5. Code of Conduct
C2FM is a high-bar community of climate builders, and the bar is what makes it worth your time. You come to the events you can, you meet a ton of people, you offer to help your peers and they show up for you. Whether or not you find your co-founder here, every person in the room is a value-add to your founder journey. The goal is simple: you walk away with a co-founder and a community that helps you go from -1 to 0 to 1 and beyond. Show up consistently, because you’ll know the room is always worth it.
Here’s how we keep it that way.
By joining, you agree to:
- Show up generously. Stay active, help when you can, and add value to the community rather than just taking from it.
- Be kind. Don’t tear down people’s ideas, and lead with being helpful. This only works when members feel safe putting half-formed ideas and real asks in front of the group.
- Respect privacy. Chatham House Rule at events: use what was said, not who said it. No intros without both people opting in. Don’t share members’ contact info without asking, quote members publicly, or spam the community.
- Keep it organic. Collaborations between members are welcome, but never through unsolicited cold pitches.
- Honor your RSVPs. Events are intentionally small, so a seat you take is one someone else can’t. Give at least 24 hours notice when you can’t make it, or at minimum update your RSVP the day of.
Holding the bar: if something’s off, you’ll get a warning, and repeated issues mean being removed. No-shows work the same way (two deprioritizes you for future events for the next 3 months, three means leaving the platform). None of this is meant to feel heavy. It’s just how we keep the room worth everyone’s time.
Membership and continued use of C2FM are conditioned on compliance with this Code of Conduct. Violations are grounds for suspension or removal from the platform without refund.
6. The Service
C2FM facilitates introductions between members. We do not vet, verify, endorse, employ, or guarantee any member.
C2FM is not a party to any relationship, partnership, or venture that forms between members. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member or the outcomes of any co-founder relationship, partnership, dispute, intellectual-property or ownership issue, or business result arising from connections made through the platform.
Members are solely responsible for their own due diligence before entering any business or co-founder relationship.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or intentions
- Spam or solicit members for purposes unrelated to C2FM
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise programmatically extract data from the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
8. Intellectual Property
C2FM owns the platform, brand, and all content we create. Members retain ownership of the profile content they submit but grant C2FM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service (e.g., displaying your profile to other members, generating match recommendations).
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, C2FM and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
In any event, C2FM’s total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the total fees you paid to C2FM in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may cancel your membership at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or is otherwise harmful to the community or the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the member portal and attend C2FM events ends.
11. Changes, Governing Law, and Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify members by email or through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York.
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at hello@c2fm.network.
